Did any of you go to yours? I didn't. Who would even go out with me? I didn't know anyone who'd want to be seen with me as a couple. How was it like to go out on your own prom? I was so ashamed of myself in high school, that I didn't even bother to show up at graduation. No ring dances, either. No senior dinners. Sometimes I'll see other young people, and I'll wonder, how did they do it? I'll never have another chance to have that sort of experience again; that train is long gone.

I didn't go.

On that Thursday evening in May, I was loitering in a city park, riding buses, and dumpster-diving.

Unfortunately, I did....with a very wretched woman. Eleven years later, she is still causing me pain.

I didn't go, and don't regret it. Looking back on it, it would have been like most other school functions: a bunch of people who I didn't talk to, and most of whom I didn't like.

It was rather funny at the time, but some of my classmates who stayed back due to attendance or grades complained that they "couldn't afford to pay for another prom."

Here's how prom works....

Dumb beta males spend a shitload on their prom date, then don't get anything.
Smart beta males stay home, but at least they saved their money.
Alpha males get to fuck the girls that the dumb beta males spent money on.

I was a dumb beta male :(

No. I never gave a single fuck about that shit. I simply didn't have an image (or persona if you will) to sell; let alone uphold. There's no point in spending that much money on a Prom; especially if you're going stag.

*Edit* ~ Don't let regret bite you in the ass. You didn't miss anything special. All that shit is just hype.

My prom was awkward!
There was a girl at the time that I wanted to ask to be my date, but another guy asked her already. I didn't really feel comfortable asking anyone else, so I just ended up getting paired up with the girl who also didn't have a date.
The dance, to say the least, was uncomfortable.

I didn't go to my prom either since it I didn't think any girl I would ask would go with me. Strangely enough, years later i told this to a friend of mine (who didn't go to my high school) and she said if I asked her, she would've gone with me........good to know :/

Wealth and power are means to women; women are means to genetic eternity.

Likewise, deep in the mind of modern woman is the same hunter-gatherer calculator, too recently evolved to have changed much: strive to acquire a provider husband who will invest food and care in your children; strive to find a lover who can give those children first-class genes. Do they even HAVE proms in Poland? I thought it was exclusively anglosphere tradition. But what do I know?
We don't have this tradition. As for school-ending ceremony, EVERYONE (who graduated) attends it, and stays for the dance party afterwards, and possibly for the drunk city strolling until dawn after that.
