I remeber reading this line in Houellebecq's "Whatever" few years ago and it still haunts me to this day.

"The only value society places on ANYONE is in terms of their economic efficiency and their erotic potential."

That's why crippingly shy, sexually inexperienced, quiet or unemployed/underemployed people (especially men) are often ridiculed, laughed at, considered worthless, disposable or even hated.

Is this line true?

"There has been no genetic change since we were hunter-gatherers, but deep in the mind of modern man is a simple hunter-gatherer rule: strive to acquire power and use it to lure women who will bear heirs; strive to acquire wealth and use it to buy affairs with other men’s wives who will bear bastards . . . Wealth and power are means to women; women are means to genetic eternity.

Likewise, deep in the mind of modern woman is the same hunter-gatherer calculator, too recently evolved to have changed much: strive to acquire a provider husband who will invest food and care in your children; strive to find a lover who can give those children first-class genes. Only if she is very lucky will they both be the same man . . . Men are to be exploited as providers of parental care, wealth and genes." - Matt Ridley "The Red Queen"

"Humor won’t save you; it doesn’t really do anything at all. You can look at life ironically for years, maybe decades; there are people who seem to go through most of their lives seeing the funny side, but in the end, life always breaks your heart. Doesn’t matter how brave you are, how reserved, or how much you’ve developed a sense of humor, you still end up with your heart broken. That’s when you stop laughing. In the end there’s just the cold, the silence and the loneliness. In the end, there’s only death." - Houellebecq

Society, whatever. Individuals grade each other by different criteria; though money and hotness are important they're not everything.

Consider an incel university professor, who does not earn much money, but is still more respected than, for example, used car seller.

it contains a truth, once alphas and omegas rule society and the Betas have lost complete control,
everything reverts back to the rules of nature, once this has happened the Betas are worthless to many and those
that do not gain status in what the alphas and omegas think is "important" are even more worthless

and the Betas have become so indoctrinated in the last few decades that they're ashamed of their past
to such an extent they will not apply any pressure whatsoever in trying to attract
a woman: no economic disparity, shaming or controlling of hypergamy

they're "modern" men and everything that has kept them in the gene pool is "barbaric" and "hateful" ... and when
they fail they discover the true animal nature of humans and suddenly they see their worthless existance

Money and women. The two things that depress me the most, as they're things I don't have. And they're the very two things people judge you on, true. :(

sir Isaac Newton died a virgin, so I wouldn't go as far to say the statement is true. But I want to ask the OP, do YOU want it to be true so you can be furthure depressed?

Isaac Newton was famous and eccentric. Perhaps he was also asexual. The same goes to another famous scientist Henry Cavendish.

As for your question I am still trying to fight. I haven't given up yet. But future seems blacker and blacker as I become older and older. Maybe this year will be better than previous one. Time will tell.

The world is cruel and time is merciless. If you are trying to fight you better show some action like you mean it

Not true. In a large number of cases yes, but take a war hero, he will be respected even if he is not rich and is incel, same for firemen and policemen that did something heroic.
