I'm currently addicted to watching TV series in my cellphone. I recently caught up with Fringe and V and rewatched Flashforward. Can anyone recommend me an engaging, entertaining, story-driven series that doesn't have too many seasons? Preferably an underrated sci-fi but any genre is okay.

By the way, I wholeheartedly recommend Flashforward. It got cancelled because not too many people ever watched it but it had potential. :coolbeans:

Heroes.

Season 1 kicked ass.

After that it went to shit. But the first season is a self contained story that could have ended there and the series would have been much better for it.

My thoughts exactly, although I hated the ending of season 1, I found it so silly, forced and unimpressive. The first part of Season 2 seemed to be leading somewhere but the rest was just unbearable.

I recently enjoyed this. I think it was cancelled, but it still resolves its central storyline. I would describe it as a drama with a surreal/sci-fi element.

I loved The Lost Room. I don't think it was cancelled, as far as I know it was always meant to be a miniseries.

Mad Men (you said it could be any genre).

Sliders was a good sci-fi show....but only watch the first two seasons...don't bother with the rest.

the killing is good, walking dead... pretty much if it's on AMC, it's worth your time.

I've been watching Game of Thrones recently. I've read the books for the first time almost ten years ago and its incredible to see the characters come to life. I have little nit picks here and there but I know they are under a budget, so I can't be too harsh. I am very excited for the next season.

Next month is Breaking Bad. Ohhh yeahhh!
I think later this year Dexter is coming out too.

I ended up watching the 1st season of The Walking Dead last weekend. Only six episodes thus far mind you.

I'm normally one for SciFi when it comes to TV series, the last series I finished was Farscape.

If you like underrated Sci-fi you might like the "Firefly" series. Its what the "Serenity" film was based on, 500 years in the future.

We humans used up and polluted the Earth and so we fled to another solar system with many more planets and moons that were terraformed. Like always, we humans got to fighting a war there and this time only one side won, the "Alliance".

I only wish we had that tech right now. I'd be on the first boat off of this f'ked up planet and that is the plain truth.

Yeah, the first two seasons were great. After John Rhys-Davies left. it turned to shit real fast.

It's just a gorramn shame Fox canceled that series. I still can't imagine WTF Whedon was thinking going back to Fox with Dollhouse, which met the same fate (though in truth wasn't nearly as good).
