Woman, 22, Battered Live-In Boyfriend, 74



MARCH 13--A 22-year-old woman is jailed on a felony charge after allegedly battering her 74-year-old boyfriend yesterday afternoon during a confrontation at their Florida home.

Sierra Chaffin was busted Monday afternoon for “intentionally pushing her boyfriend whom she lives with, and her boyfriend is currently 74 years old,” according to a report prepared by a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy. Charged with battery on a person over 65, Chaffin, pictured above, is currently locked up in the county jail.

Both Chaffin and her boyfriend, Marcos Beita, told deputies that they “had a physical intimate relationship and are currently residing together,” though Chaffin was moving her belongings out of their Bradenton home yesterday when the pair got into a confrontation.

The incident between Chaffin and Beita, who recently underwent open heart surgery, was witnessed by the elderly man’s physical therapist and a woman who was preparing his lunch. Both witnesses reported seeing Chaffin push Beita. While he did not “feel well enough to complete an affidavit,” Beita told a sheriff’s deputy that Chaffin “pushed him in the stomach with both hands.”

The sheriff’s report offers no further insight into the unorthodox pair’s relationship, or how they--despite a 52-year age difference--became a couple.

Court records show that Chaffin’s rap sheet includes busts for possession of a controlled substance, theft, resisting arrest, battery, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is pictured in mug shot at left.

For his part, Beita was arrested four months ago for stealing from a person over the age of 65, as well as exploiting an elderly person. Free on $20,000 bond, Beita, seen in the mug shot at right, is next due in court on March 28.

Yeap, it is a twisted world, L-N. Of that there is no doubt whatsoever in my mind, very sad to say.

Being as I am the oldest regular male poster here, I have seen first-hand, how ugly and horrible the world
has become, and not just in the world of men and women relationships. It's much worse then that, by far.

Take my word for it: if there was a "Stargate", or Starship off this planet, it couldn't be any worse
somewhere else then here with all these "humans" wearing clothing, and banging thier chests like Apes.

I just wanted what my parents had. As much as it wasn't an ideal marriage, nor as normal as it should of
been, I know that my mother and father loved one another. Thats all I ever wanted for myself, a chance
at something better then that, with a woman I loved and a chance to be content and even, dare I say
it, happy.

I don't ever expect that to happen to me in my entire lifetime on this one frakked-up planet of humans
gone completely mad with the madness of greed and power over one another, in a race to destruction.

If I had the chance, like Charelton Heston had, to take a spaceship to another planet, as in the 1968
movie "Planet of the Apes" I wouldn't hesitate for a millisecond to get off this frakked up ball of rock,
trust me on that, L-N.

As somone who has always been interested in history. I'm always asking those older than myself about their memories of earlier days. Never have I come acrossed anyone who can truley say that things are not worse off than they have been, even the day before. There's certainly a 'quickening' afoot, if you will. Most people will agree that, at least western culture, has been on the decline since the end of world war two. However, is seems as though there has been an uptick in the rate of our descent since about the mid-1980's.
