Ah yes The Matrix......which never would have existed without Akira.

I will concede that Alien is science fiction, as with The Terminator. I personally cannot stand any of the Alien movies except the first two. I Still think the original Terminator is the best, and the AVP movies are abosolute shite.

I am quite hopeful concerning Prometheus.

The trouble is today, that movie makers are fucking lazy slobs. Got a glaring plot hole? Easy. Slap a piece of CGI over it.

For me a good science fiction movie will haunt you, will mess with your head long after the final credits have rolled.

No movie has EVER affected me more than the original version of The Day The Earth Stood Still.

Check this out;

To understand me.....you must first understand this film. The very reason why I have always loathed violence is down to THIS movie. I have never, ever doubted, not for a second, my WHOLE LIFE, that there are other intelligent beings in the cosmos.

And in recent yeers my own research, and my UFO experiences that began in childhood, have convinced me that not only are we not alone, buy that also we are being visted.

Alien is pretty much a horror/monster movie which happens to be in space, though, much as Star Wars is fantasy wearing sci fi clothing.
