I haven't had me a neat glass of the stuff in...months, which is commendable for me. So I'm giving you, the members of the forum, a chance to pick what delicious poison I imbibe this weekend. It can be anything in the whiskey family: Whiskey, Scotch or Bourbon. How I choose the suggested liquor from the posts will be arbitrary and completely willy nilly. Maybe I'll even draw from a hat, unless that is a bunch of people agree on one thing.

I will post a picture of said bottle with my glass next to it, and will treat myself over the course of the night. I take no responsibility for any lulz that may ensue.

So what's it gonna be pal(s)? Huh-huh!?

In the event that no one posts a suggestion by Sunday, I'll be forced to boringly buy something of my own choice. Lame.

Drink bourbon and I'll draw you a picture of a kitty. It will be a very cute kitty.

How about one bourbon, one scotch, one beer?

 Well seems I'm off to a good start!

@Harebrained: While a cute kitty pic is intriguing, you'd have to recommend a specific brand of bourbon to be officially added to the hat.

@Fonduman & AKU: Added, yes even Old Overholt lol.

@bakedsquid & PlaidJumper: I'll play some Thorogood while drinking  but I'm gonna have to strike down the Appletini even as a write in. If I drink any Martini it's dirty.

Jack Daniels? I see adverts for JD *everywhere* on London underground constantly telling me what life is like in Tennessee. ;p Hehe.

Jameson(<3), JD and Jim Beam all added to the hat! Banana Bread beer is good if it's ice cold, overall though I like really bitter beer.

I'd go with Jim Beam, Talisker or good ole Jack Daniels.

"There has been no genetic change since we were hunter-gatherers, but deep in the mind of modern man is a simple hunter-gatherer rule: strive to acquire power and use it to lure women who will bear heirs; strive to acquire wealth and use it to buy affairs with other men’s wives who will bear bastards . . . Wealth and power are means to women; women are means to genetic eternity.

Likewise, deep in the mind of modern woman is the same hunter-gatherer calculator, too recently evolved to have changed much: strive to acquire a provider husband who will invest food and care in your children; strive to find a lover who can give those children first-class genes. Only if she is very lucky will they both be the same man . . . Men are to be exploited as providers of parental care, wealth and genes." - Matt Ridley "The Red Queen"

Doesn’t matter how brave you are, how reserved, or how much you’ve developed a sense of humor, you still end up with your heart broken. That’s when you stop laughing. In the end there’s just the cold, the silence and the loneliness. In the end, there’s only death." - Houellebecq
