Who's looking forward to the Olympic Games?

Ever since the 1996 olympics i have followed these events very close. I even made shure this time that i had some time off from work to really get into it.

I never followed them because I don't know really know anyone who is competing. With pro sports you can cheer for the players, any one who follows a team can name most of, if not all the players on that team, and you hope they do well. For example, Yankees fans love the Yankees, but they also love Derek Jeter, and they buy his jersey and most probably consider him their favorite player. But I couldn't tell you one person who is in the Olympics.

They also don't show enough of the sports I like. I'd like to watch Judo, Tae kwon do, kayaking and rowing, but all they will show on TV is swimming because of Michael Phelps, who I personally can't stand, and the track and field stuff and basketball because of the dream team. There are also some pretty ridiculous Olympic sports, like ping pong (yes it is an Olympic "sport") badminton (yes, also a "sport" according to the Olympics, no I'm not joking) and race walking, which is that thing old people do when their knees are no longer fit for jogging.

Another thing I hate is that according to several Olympic athletes, all they do when they're not competing is party and fuck each other. I'm not joking, Hope Solo said that every night in the athletes residence was like a frat party with a very good gene pool, she also claims she couldn't go one day without running into two people getting busy, and not just indoors either. At the last Olympics they had over 70,000 condoms for any one who needed them, supposedly they went through them in a week. A week. I can appreciate that they're all good athletes who have trained for this their whole lives, but that's all they are, athletes. They're not contributing anything to society, they've never had a hard day in their life, they've never known loneliness or depression or misery. I doubt any of them have ever worked a real job in their life, not even something like flipping burgers at McDonalds. I can't relate to any of these people, rooting for them is like rooting for Donald Trump to win the lottery. I'll save my applause for the emergency room doctors in Colorado.
