article is full of bias and simpering political correctness.
can you imagine an article that said men scored higher just because they are smarter?
yet this article says "Another theory is those women have always had the potential for higher results, but are only now realising it. "
article too biased to be taken seriously. it's sickeningly and embarrassingly such, actually. and all the "theories" are extremely vague, with no references, no justification. it doesn't even give details of which test inspired such a conclusion, the sample size, the demographics, etc.

in any case, what I have personally noticed is some tests have deliberately been made more female friendly. there was one, by the BBC, that was completely different to standard tests. they completely minimised the contribution of the analytical section (which I maxed in) and emphasised greatly tests of visual memory. in other words, emphasising things women have been shown to be better in. really, any results that come from the media these days can be discarded as irrelevant, they've been pressing hard for this "result" for years, and now they've finally got some test it happened on, and they're milking it for all its worth, and probably neglecting to mention that it was probably administered to 10 guys in jail and 10 girls in university or something, I wouldn't put it past them

Men are equal or smarter. Just how it is.
They just have one bloodsuppy for both organs.

Women on average scored higher on IQ tests under those conditions (temperature, geography, time of day, etc.) with those particular test subjects, regardless of other factors (stress, aforementioned conditions, sleepiness, medication, etc.); that is what is to be said. I am of the personal belief that men have, as with physical strength, greater and lower heights and a more varied spectrum than women and, when taken in an aggregate average, women's "average" is slightly higher than that of men's, but this is a belief that has no support in testing, etc. Claiming that one sex is more intelligent based on a test is a leap of logic across the timeless chasm known as fallacy. Feel free to free fall into that one, if you care.

Intelligence is something tricky to measure and difficult to determine. I.Q. tests are based primarily on pattern recognition, little else. There are plenty displays and forms of intelligence besides pattern recognizing.

Btw, got sidetracked and took the I.Q. test via the hyperlink in the middle of the page. :D

I don't believe this, first of all physically men are stronger, faster, have better endurance then women (the only area where there's no substantial difference is stamina), shure there are some women who do as well as men and some men who are as weak (out of shape) as women but on average men score a lot better on these things. Look at professional sports, adult women are usually at the level of 16 year old boys in a lot of sports.

As far as iq are concerned i don't think there will be much of a difference between the two though with more men scoring very high and very low. If women on average score better they i assume because the test, like education these days is catered towards them.

Did you not agree with everything I said? Did you somehow take the possibility of the average of women being better than the average of men with regards to physical and not of intellectual? Certainly the average male is physically more adept; it was of the intellectual that I was referring to. My wording, upon second reading, promotes needless ambiguity.
