Spoke with my Great Aunt Gladys Jones in Cardiff! They (my realtives) are ready for my arrival.....

Despite them living in a big city, they seem a little "hickish" for the UK. Gladys commented on my "yank" accent and said something to the likes of "You sound like the people in Hollywood movies!"

I spoke with another uncle, his name is Hayden and I could barely understand a word he was saying to me.

My cousin Lloyd is currently living in Glasgow, and Uncle Hayden said something about him "shaggin' and drinking up thar" and "He'll be heere when you come doownn!"

I am going to stay with them for two weeks, and they were all bantering with me on the phone in english and would slip in (by accident?) a Welsh word here and there. The way my mother used to talk!
Gladys wants me to bring some of my mothers ashes back to "the auld country" and we're going to throw them in some "sacred" river or stream in Wales.......
