Uhhh, yes, I am Asian (more specifically, half-Asian. Father is Chinese).

Yep, and I've got red in my beard too :) Wonder why I like brunettes so much? My father, despite being 100% oriental, has some scattered red as well. Check it out (though this doesn't list red hair from China specifically, per se).

Has anyone here tried Insanity? Or P90X? I'm looking for something to do in the mornings once classes start back up, and I have to cut back on my longer work outs.

Not insanity, but p90x is a pretty solid program for people who are already in decent shape. It's a fairly high level right out of the gate though.

Four plates is right around the corner :coolbeans:

How is the low-carb diet panning out?

Well I've pulled 190kg for a single rep before, but I weighed more myself back then. My numbers are much cooler now that I only weigh 75kg at the moment.

As for the low carb diet, it's lost me a great deal of body fat. It's kind of cool to actually have abs, quad separation etc. Plus it brings my total weight loss to over 20kg.

Kind of off-topic, but I remember when I was middle school and early in high school, I wanted so much for my son not to be born like me, that I worked out thinking that I would carry on my beefed-up genes lest he experience the same situation. The revelation that muscle is not genetically inherited later in my high school career sorely dampened my initial drive, and it was something I refused to accept for a few months because I felt half the reason I worked out had left me. I have never quite had so much motivation since.

Because of your recommendation I am on Day 2 of P90X, yesterday was easy, but today hurt a lot more. I'm pretty stoked though.

I was saying that to foxyproxy, not about myself. My own deadlift is at 515 last time I checked. As for still whooping me, good possibility, given that I've just done a smattering of Krav Maga, wrestling, and some Jiu Jitsu on top of the usual Tae Kwon Do training. It'd be a good learning experience, I think.

New LS.com business venture - Lykos vs Ethnocide MMA match - pay per view! I'd take that over Floyd whatshisface and Paquowhoever crap any day of the week.

BTW, four plates I've actually done before.

Highest weight plates in my gym are 20kg each.
