Oh :( My oneitis told me the other day I am a 'true gentleman'. Guess I have no chance, then, eh?

Gentlemen may prefer blondes, but blondes certainly don't prefer gentlemen (try footy stud, or blinged up Neanderthal)

They're just being nice. You really should learn to get over it. I know it's hard. Only time terms like gentleman and handsome will lead you to girls is if their mother try to set you up. That's happened to me before. Girls mother tried make me take her to this dance presumably because I was polite, looked good in a suit, and wasn't a drug dealer.

I always tried to get behind them and tried to not get caught as I put my face really close to their ass and tried to smell really hard in hopes of catching some pussy smell. I was always tempted to enter the female bathrooms and steal all the thongs while they took a shower, but I was too afraid of what would happen if I got caught.

Gentleman = Oldschool Romantic Movies Theme.

And even today we can`t be violent or we will be put in jail.

I wished it was the time of pirates.

There is no chance for love-shy people but be nice: nice = not atractive = not cool = not popular = not many friends.

See i now i am nice i just don`t respect people who talk shit behined my back and go passed my suppose "niceness"

I am gentlemen yes but if u piss me off i can be the worst asshole ever but its not in me. Only if i drink i become social, outgoing and all that crap.

Why the face-palm? You should be proud not to fit into this disgusting decadent culture, and that is what "gentleman" implies.

The first few hundreds times I got called a "gentleman," I thought it was a compliment. Now, I recognize it as the kiss of death, on par with "sweet." I have multiple responses ready:

"I just pretend to be a gentleman; actually, I'm a bad boy in disguise."
"You've never seen my tattoo. No, you can't see it; it isn't suitable for polite company."
"That's just a vicious rumor."

Wow... Please don't say any of these things. It get a cold sweat of embarrassment just thinking about a scenario where you made these "jokes". It is clear from the implications of your prepared responses that you are, in fact, a gentleman. Be proud of that and stop being such an apologetic pussy. There is nothing worse than a guy who is outwardly ashamed and dismissive of what he truly believes.

I agree. It would be a better strategy to try to play up the positive aspects of being a gentleman. Like, for example, say "but of course", and over-dramatically bow and kiss her hand, and wink.

Then, resume your normal behavior and forget she ever said it. This way you deflect her attempt to pigenhole you, but at the same time display both a sense of humor and a potential for romance.

By my reckoning, she wouldn't call you a gentleman unless on some level she considered it a compliment. Therefore, she may harbor latent fantasies of chivalry that you may be able to tap into with the proper role-playing. I think you have the power, by your actions, to determine whether it's a "kiss of death" or not.
