Not bloody likely. I like to joke about the possibility though, as it would mean I would never have to turn 40.

I doubt 2012 will be the end of the world, just another y2k/global warming hysteria crisis.

The same people who say the world will end in 2012 said the same thing about the year 2000. We're still here. What does that tell you?

Nothing, really. Sometimes its just a person crying wolf. Sometimes its not.

If enough people think something bad will happen it could become a self-fulfilling prophecy. With so many Islamic and Christian peoples speaking of the end times, it could well turn into WW III, when someone starts firing Nuke missiles at someone else.

Israel has at least 200 Nukes and Pakistan and Iran both have Nukes, but I dont know how many. How about all those former Soviet Nukes left over from the Cold war.

It could happen. The nuclear winter alone would kill most everyone on this planet.

My point was that you can't keep on making predictions that doesn't happen and still expect to be taken seriously. Do you really think there will be a nuclear war? The muslims may be crazy and backwards but they're not retarded, or at least not retarded enough to wipe out their whole civilization. They know perfectly well that they will we wiped off the face of the earth if they start to play with nukes or invading israel. Not a good move.

don't give them so much credit they blow themselves up on a daily basis anyway...
it's up to the sane nations to not get retarded in here! and start launching icbms. And I sincerely doubt that if Iran or north korea or whoever else decides to launch a nuke at someone the world will respond with more nukes.

I could see a series of events occurring leading to the end by 2012. For one yellowstone blowing up, that alone will be the single greatest natural disaster in recoded history. There's no way to prepare for it. That'd make any other disaster about 100 times worse, plus the food shortages, temperature drops, grounding of virtually all air traffic, crippled communications. USA out of commission right off the bat, then the ash spreads crops die, temperatures drop, people get hungry. And when people get hungry civilization starts to crumble. The chain of events is long and extremely threatening to civilization.

Fu*k the Mayans.

Bunch of feminised, pussy, mangina, pansies.

What happened to their civilisation eh ?

Wiped out cos all their wimmins ignored the pussies and shagged the 1% of bad boys that could carry a whole deer and throw nerds 15ft in the air, as a result of years of inbreeding with jocks the race went infertile.

Well that is my theory (ok entirley unsupported by evidence but yer can't have everything).

Yeah, and an axe could fall on your head too. You could get run over by a bus, get cancer, be killed by a serial killer, get fatal food poisoning, get flesh eating bacteria. You could die by falling in stairs and break your neck, a piano may fall on you when you're out walking some day, you may fall into a man hole or get eaten by a tiger. Yeah, bad things may happen, but in all likelyhood life will go on just like before.

yellowstone isn't a freak accident that may or may not occur though... it's going to happen.. and temperatures will drop, food shortages will occur. how the world handles it is a different story.
little volcano goes off in iceland and Europe's air travel essentially shuts down. Little civil war breaks out in libya and gas prices shoot up, not because of shortages but the traders, investors etc. This is one of those events where life will not just go on like before.
