More money that they can waste. Right-O!

Carry on, then. :banghead:

Sounds like a great way to kill ecommerce to me. Why would I pay the extra money to have something shipped to my house from out of state if I'm going to have to pay sales taxes on it as well? It suddenly becomes a lot cheaper just to buy it from a brick and mortar store where I still have to pay sales taxes, except no shipping.

Exactly. And one of the nice things about online shopping is not having to
deal with rude salespeople, other customers and no driving around finding a place
to park the car to name a few things. Oh and no germs to catch from the shoppers.

This is very foolish and in fact may backfire on the states who demand sales taxes,
by sending businesses out of state, thus higher unemployment.

Politicians are the ultimate entitlement princes and princesses... they put the typical entitlement princess on dating sites to absolute shame! The divine right of kings may be passé, but these fools honestly believe they have a divine right to our money.

I see your point, but a lot of places (amazon.com, for example) have free shipping on orders over $25.

Also, when you go to a store, there's really no guarantee they'll have the product you want. With an on-line retailer, all you have to do is type it in.

Lots of items ship for free. I just bought a couch last month for 500 dollars from an online retailer, about 200 to 300 dollars off list price. Came with free shipping in about eight days on a freight truck. Cant beat that with a stick. And since the company that I purchased it from was located in Canada, why should they have to figure out the sales tax, from another country?

Yeah, the very same people who have been shipping the jobs offshore and robbing the taxpayers blind.

Time to open the books. For real this time. All Congressmen / Senators get travel expenses and a small stipend for SERVICE to their country. It's public service. Not a public career. Like they used to until the late 1940's. They ONLY get 'social security' like the rest of us (we get rid of that "seperate" system they have, that is fully funded mind you)

This reminds the powers that be that THEY live with the rest of us with the laws, and taxes THEY enact.

We make the tax code a few pages, instead of a few thousand. We take federal judges legislating from "the bench" out of office. We have special hearings for those (on both sides) who have squandered the nations wealth for the past fifty years or so.

We end cronyism in all federal jobs.

Sounds like a good start. I woulndn't mind the tax if it would be used to fund the programs we already have, or pay down the debt instead of raises, and "new" programs, entitlements. But you and I know better don't we?
