This morning the Girl Scout Leader and I met up to discuss, and plan for both of our troops to meet for an activity.

She's very attractive. Shoulder lenght blonde hair, cute-smiling light steel blue eyes. Thin. Perky. Smiles alot.

We met where our Scout Troops meet, at the Salvation Army Citadel / Corps Office here in dt Fresno.
Her boyfriend dropped her off, and then he sat in the car. I invited him inside, and he grunted, which I take was a decline.

The boyfriend: baseball-cap-wearing-sideways. Probably like her, in his late twenties. The stubble beard. A diamond bling-styled earring. khaki cargo shorts, socks pulled up to his knees. Not fat, but he def has a bean-burrito belly and probably will start packing on more weight sooner than later at this point in his life. Tee shirt with a Volcom logo on it. Sleeve tattoos on both arms, one with the local telephone area code stamped on his neck below the ear "559" done in the "gothic" script.

Girl and I had a little small talk. She went to UC Davis. Got pregnant right after college with her then boyfriend who was a local "townie" in Davis, not a college guy.

She met current boyfriend about a year ago in line at a local supermarket chain. He moved in with her, and he just can't find work because "people in the valley are biased against tattoos" Her daughter she spoke highly of, wants the best for her, and she wants more kids.

We opened our meeting with the flag salute, Scout Oath and Promise and went to work. We agreed to have a "swim meet" at the Fresno State swimming pool in June, and then pizza afterward at the "California Pizza Kitchen" before going swimming our troops would meet up for a short meeting, a few songs.....a get to know you thing, and then off we would go. She told me she could get about three parents of the girls in her troop to come along, and I can easily get parents of my cubs to come along.

After about a half hour that was it. I closed in a "general" prayer and she left.

Man, she was so cute.

A whore is a great role model for stupid children.

I don't like to feed stereotypes but damn the irony of a girl scout leader dating a guy like this. Worth every chuckle.

well, she obviously isn't too smart...or excuse me, she is the typical woman who dates the bad-boy and really, really hopes n' tries to someday make him into that "nice guy" her parents always really wanted her to be with. She knows what she is doing, and don't you dare suggest otherwise ;-)

Back when the world was sane(r), someone like that would be considered the loser.

exactly nerd. Her boyfriend is not a "gangsta" but has the swaggar of one, and we know image means everything when it comes to a large portion of women today.

Don't confuse me with some of the more narrow-minded individuals on this board. I don't care who or what she wants to date it's just the irony of her image and who she's with is too funny.

It really doesn't and didn't surprise me with who she was with Deejay. In my travels I have met more than enough women who are really "nice" and "average" for the most part. They have skills, they can talk, they have some education. They have interests. AND.................

They have a boyfriend who is NONE of what they have and somehow this guy is "it"

I can't explain it, and I think it is living a life of "romantic comedy" movies, trying to shock mom and dad type of behaviors, and just being conditioned from an early age to date jerks, because they are "misunderstood"

If this was a movie you'd have to tone down all the cliche in this situation because no one would believe it.
