stomach sleeping is totally alien to me. I just don't see how people do it. It makes it hard for me to breath, and is incredibly uncomfortable, especially for my back.

I look exactly like the free faller image. People who have seen me asleep have informed me that they weren't sure I got in that position on my own or had died. I have immense neck and back trouble. I try to sleep in other positions as many nights as I can but I always eventually give in and find myself on stomach again. But sleeping on my side still give me back trouble. I just end up crunching my shoulder and its still no good.

Fetus 100%. I have to sleep on the right side of the bed too. I have to sleep in a cold room with lots of blankets because my body temperature before going to bed is really high. When I wake up, I am totally bone cold. I hate getting up in the morning for this reason.

My roommate in college was the opposite. He went to sleep as a vampire/soldier with his hands folded across his chest, and would wake up Qwoping. Also, his body temperature was really hot in the morning, and often insisted he had to get a cold shower after waking up. I was like you could not pay me a million dollars to hop in a cold shower after a long night.

Most of my family sleeps either fetus or yearner. Except for my nephew who is Qwoping, hence waking up with feet in my face.

I had this problem until I installed a programmable thermostat. Now the temperature falls to frigid around bedtime, and rises to comfortable an hour before I wake up. May be the best $50 I ever spent.
