It dropped online yesterday, and I'm listening to it for the second time now.

It's raw, powerful, and gritty. This is probably the rawest Manson album since Antichrist Superstar, yet it doesn't sound like that album. It really doesn't sound like any of his previous albums, yet you can tell it's Manson.

It also has a techno/punk vibe, despite still sounding heavy metal. In general, this album is sick.

I highly recommend getting it from The Pirate Bay, or waiting until May 1st and then buying it.

Look at it. No stage presence, off time, off key... it's like he forgot his own goddamn song, and it's not even a complex song at that. Rammstein owned it, Manson phoned it in, pasty bloated clownshoes junkie that he is.

Not getting excited for anything Manson does, unless he decides to OD or jump off a bridge.

I'll give it a listen... I havn't really liked anything since Anti-Christ Superstar, and havn't heard anything since Mechanical Animals. I was a huge NIN fan in highschool (1997-2001) so I listened to Manson through association, also I heard he made a song with lady gaga, if thats true then he just dropped a notch or two in my mind.

Doesn't surprise me. He did an ironic cover of Britney Spears "Hit Me Baby One More Time" back in his Anti-Christ Superstar hayday.

His stuff never really did much for me. He has some good stuff but I always thought most of his stuff was pretty much meh...

Of course, he can't compare to Nine Inch Nails! That's like comparing Carly Simon to Christina Aguilera. Obviously, Carly Simon is a lot more talented than Christina Aguilera.

Speaking of Carly, Manson covers her biggest hit, "You're So Vain," on the new album. Johnny Depp plays on it and sings backup. Tres cool.

But yeah, I haven't been crazy about a Manson album since The Golden Age Of Grotesque. But this new album is just as good as the classic period (Portraits Of An American Family through Golden Age.) It may not be another Antichrist Superstar, but it's at least another Mechanical Animals.

Mechanical Animals was his best album, at least in my not-so-humble opinion.

Then again I was a Bowie fan.

I agree. I think I liked Mechanical Animals best and am a huge Bowie fan. Manson did justice to that kind of concept, and proved he could actually write melodically.

I liked Antichrist as well, but nothing after Mechanical Animals interested me.

If you guys like Mechanical Animals, you'll love the new album.

Just saying. Give it a chance.

Didn't heard the newest one yet, but one of my favourite songs of Marilyn Manson is "Apple of Sodom"

Wealth and power are means to women; women are means to genetic eternity.
