Apparently if you have a mild ear infection you're not supposed to stick anything inside it. I wish someone had told me that before my ear canal swelled up until I couldn't fit anything inside it, at which point I thought google might be a good idea...
yay for severe constant pain and pointless complaining threads because I can't sleep, or hear things.
deliberating over whether or not it warrants an A&E trip. the pain is bad, and an infection this bad will require treatment. But is it pressing enough to be an "emergency?". hmm.

If you don't get medical care and wind up dying, I'm taking your lasers and using them for evil purposes.

no need to panic lol. it's an ear infection, albeit a bad one.

you should understand, that with universal health care, etc, the system is falling apart. people waiting upwards of 20 hours for hospital beds, etc. the NHS's slogan should be "beggars can't be choosers", because that seems to be their general policy. If I go to A&E i'll be waiting for about 3 hours before they do anything, and i'll be reluctantly treated at best, going to A&E over a sore ear. If I can get a GP appointment within the next couple of days, that'd be preferable.

Don't let this slide. Get to a doctor NOW.

It's not just your hearing at stake, but your sense of balance and being able to
detect where a sound comes from, if you lose your hearing in one ear.

It's like losing an eye and having little depth perception, since you need two eyes for stereoscopic vision for that.

Don't trust Nature Boy, though. Whatever he says, he's not a real doctor. :waa:

I ate some cayenne pepper. 30 seconds later, hearing started to come back, puss started to drain. wasn't even expecting anything as dramatic as that, but once again cayenne proves to be as fantastic as the websites say it is :coolbeans:
barely even hurts now.

So can you go back to sticking things in your head yet or are things still sucking? I've got some crayons for your nose if you want.

Socialized anything only works in theory, when you have a person making 900 widgets a day getting paid the same as someone making 25 widgets a day, nobody is going to make 900 widgets a day!

 long lines in a universal healthcare system isn't a result of socialism's failing! it is because of overpopulation! you say as if another system would magically give us more doctors and less patients.
in truth here the US (no universal healthcare) medical costs are higher because there is little regulation and hella lots of finanacial waste on insurance management which is one of the biggest legalized forms of fraud.
In the US you won't see(though you still will in hospitals) lines as long as in universal healthcare, because a large portion of the sick in America are off some where else waiting to die cause they can't afford healthcare.

now you tell me would you rather a longer line at the hospital or are you so selfish that you would rather people die because they can't afford health care?? and that includes you if you ever get an ailment that is really expensive to treat.

and in regards to the cartoon if you switch the poor/begger guy with a rich corporation, you will have american capitalism. the cartoon is highly inaccurate of how socialism actually works, as taxes (supposedly the money being taken out of the guys pocket) pays for stuff which the tax payer him/herself also uses.
