Slightly not related, but I love Bottom because it's just utter bonkers. It's a mid 90s BBC comedy. Eddie and Richie don't have a full chess set so they are using stand-in pieces. It's just hilarious, well I believe so anyway. :)

It's also interesting because they are often going on about never being with women, or well Richie is. The character of Richie is quite probably LS, and Eddie, incel - though he complains less. ;p

Like the Deep Blue technicians, I can't play Chess to save my life, but I could program a rather strong chess bot with little effort. I actually made one for a university assignment once.

My brother was in chess club growing up, so I learned from him and my father. I've been a bit rusty for years, though.

Dug out my brother's old chess set and my interest has been reignited. Don't remember why I quit playing, probably boredom with the people I had to play with.

Bug me if you want a match I guess.
