My condolences. I don't think it matters if he had been incel or not, what matters is that he was a good man. It's a bitch that the good die so young.

Erebus, I'm so sorry about your cousin. At least he died doing something he loved and not in long suffering. I hope you are well.

"There has been no genetic change since we were hunter-gatherers, but deep in the mind of modern man is a simple hunter-gatherer rule: strive to acquire power and use it to lure women who will bear heirs; strive to acquire wealth and use it to buy affairs with other men’s wives who will bear bastards . . . Wealth and power are means to women; women are means to genetic eternity.

Likewise, deep in the mind of modern woman is the same hunter-gatherer calculator, too recently evolved to have changed much: strive to acquire a provider husband who will invest food and care in your children; strive to find a lover who can give those children first-class genes. Only if she is very lucky will they both be the same man . . . Men are to be exploited as providers of parental care, wealth and genes." - Matt Ridley "The Red Queen"

Doesn’t matter how brave you are, how reserved, or how much you’ve developed a sense of humor, you still end up with your heart broken. That’s when you stop laughing. In the end there’s just the cold, the silence and the loneliness. In the end, there’s only death." - Houellebecq

You two must have been somewhat close then. I am not very important to the extended family as far I as I can tell. I cried for the grandpa's brother I wasn't aware I had until he died. I felt I could have done something for him if I had only known. He lived alone in the countryside and had Alzheimers so got lost when he tried coming into town and they said that talking to people after church was very important to him. The people who were supposed to be taking care of him were heard to have wished he would fall into a snow bank and die.

I am incredibly sorry to hear, especially to happen at such a young age. I would take solace in the fact that it happened quickly and he did not suffer, most people, including many of us will not have that luxury when our times come.
