not everyone has identical conditions for weight maintenance, you know...
I know a skinny guy that practically lives off KFC because he's obsessed with trying to put on weight. bad skin because of it though.
personally I consume about 2000 calories a day and do regular exercise, and I'm 300 pounds. you don't need to lie around scoffing junk food constantly to be obese, just because that's what someone with an average constitution might need to do.

Ever try a Vegan or Vegetarian Diet?

Since I started getting into the organic/natural food movement, I've encountered quite a few vegans and I have never seen one that is overweight. I think maintaining a healthy weight has less to do with the amount of calories you consume than the quality of those calories. 2000 calories of mostly fresh veggies and fruits vs. 2000 calories of processed frozen dinners can make a huge difference. There's a whole list of other vitamins and minerals you'll get in veggies and fruits that will shed pounds and contribute to overall health.

Not trying to preach or anything, but with all the chemical crap they put in most processed food these days, it would definitely be a wise decision for all people to revert to a more natural, whole-foods diet.

I do eat meat. but I make a point for all the food to be whole and unprocessed as much as possible. I eat lots of veg.
I actually do quite well nutritionally. I rarely get sick, my mental outlook is pretty good for an incel (no particular depression except for occasional down days), I'm told my skin is good, etc. The only problem is the weight. And that isn't quite as bad as it sounds. I'm at a little less than 30% body fat. Which isn't great, but it's hardly what you'd expect someone at 300lbs to be.

I've had blood tests and other things, and it all seems flawless. I don't even think the weight gets in the way of mobility or anything too much, it feels quite natural. I shall continue to attempt to lose some more, though, but it's not a huge, pressing problem.

Just did a quick calculation. If the average male is 150 lbs (a little small, but numbers are much more convenient, does ok for an approximation) and 20% body fat, then he would be exactly 60% body fat at my weight.

isn't derailing threads fun

anyway, here's a pic I put up here quite a while back.
Image

at lough Erne. It was a nice holiday before I got attacked by a swan. oh, and being stuck in a boat full of gossipy ESJs that assumed my emotional needs would automatically match theirs when they were practically the opposite, but were seemingly incapable of understanding when I explained otherwise. a tough time.

(for reference, I think my mom/sister (as shown) are about 5' 7'')

yeah, I don't think your weight is a problem at all. You're just a big ol' bruiser!

I'm around 5'10'' or 5'11'' and 220-230 pounds.
I went to have a physical done in order to get a new job and this little skinny doctor told me I should lose 60 pounds! He said I was carrying around a sack of potatoes with me! That would make me 170 or something, and I can confidently say I will never see 170. I can't even see how that would be healthy. But, who knows.

Yeah you remind me of one of my buds Fonduman. He's like 6'2-3''ish and just a big dude who carries weight well similar to you. No wonder girls like your stature. To them you're tall and powerful enough to be protective, but also soft to cuddle with. I've heard these things discussed by chicks before.

@bakedsquid: My doc is a health nut, and he'd probably agree with the doc you saw. I'm 5'9'' and he warns me about my weight at 165, and if I put on anymore weight it's only ok if it's muscle and I drop my bf%. The thing that sucks about being mediocre height or short is that unless I'm wearing fitted clothing I just look like a skinny dude, despite the fact I work out. I'm not buff, ripped or powerful looking which in general is a turn off. Some girls do like really skinny guys, but it's widely known that they'd rather have someone taller and slightly chunkier as long as the dude can instill that sense of security.

I weigh about 275, but I'm much shorter. I'm about 5' 7". I think you look a bit less fat than I do, although you still carry some weight. I think some women might say you're too fat.

By the way, what is an ESJ?

that
http://www.personalitypage.com/ESTJ.html

or that
http://www.personalitypage.com/ESFJ.html

of course, personality guides are obliged to paint a positive picture. but essentially, the ESTJ is a bossy, detail orientated, bad tempered and demanding bureaucrat, while the ESFJ is attention seeking, shallow, small minded and treats their feelings as fact. under pressure, they will attempt to use their highly underdeveloped logical function to support them, throwing out "facts" and arguments that are highly flawed but that they believe are correct.

Don't get me wrong. I didn't say what I did because I care what other people think; I really don't. If I looked at her and reacted to her physically the way I do to this image:

Image

I wouldn't care what other people think! But unfortunately, my sexual mind seems to confidentially conform to the way the media wants me to accept a certain image.

Is that my fault? Is any of you out there any different? Are any guys out there reading this who've found sexual satisfaction in a woman (or man) whose image doesn't conform to what the media deems should be attractive? Then I guess you would be better than me.

But are you saying that just to say it? Or is it totally true?

Is anyone out there who finds the okcupid member I posted genuinely attractive? If you can honestly say so, then yes, you are better than I am. I wish I could will myself to like her. Then I wouldn't be loathing myself for not liking her. Then I wouldn't be "entitled". I would do anything to like someone who actually likes me back. Wouldn't that reduce all the frustration in grief in the world, like we don't have enough already? If I'm just an ugly guy who's pining for someone "out of his league", then yes, I'm sorry, I'd do anything to be attracted to someone in his league. Then I wouldn't be some "upstart acting out of his station" and leave well enough alone. Yes, that would be awesome. We'd all be attracted to someone within our reach, rather than abusing ourselves going after the unreachable, at the great loss of those who want us and could possibly provide mutual happiness.

Wouldn't that just be a better world? Is the media really to blame for this? Or is this anything deeper?

Neither am I attracted to obese women. The high obesity rate is what will make it difficult to find an girlfriend or wife. Too many American women are obese and their is not enough fat admirers in America. Men who are sexually attracted to obese women are lucky to be attracted to women most men find ugly. That makes finding a lover so much easier for them. I rather have a RealDoll than an obese woman as a wife.

Yes, you're right.

That's sort of the thematic point of my image. It doesn't take very much, moving facial features only a little off, just to make an attractive woman outright revolting.

I think you're trying to be funny, but the character's image here is actually a deluded version of what turns out to be a horribly obese over-eater in reality:

Image

Like they did in THE NUTTY PROFESSOR, Hollywood is trying to tell you that fat is beautiful and "genuine" and "natural" while thin and pretty is only "shallow". Yet these celebrities go out of their way to cultivate this look in their real lives, while playing homely where it's safe, onscreen. They want the nobility that comes with suffering in a body they're secretly appalled and then elevating that sort of life as "truth" because they don't have to play that sort of role away from a camera. People at home who watch this phony feel-good Hollywood message and listen to this message end up agreeing because they can relate; then they go back to coveting the glamour they lack themselves. The media machine tries to make you feel guilty for wanting this shallowness, hoping to ennoble themselves and their false modesty, but then look at the people who create these images; they're not coupling with anyone else but other glamorous types!

It's like a rich guy camping out in a homeless shelter and coming away from the experience thinking now they know how it feels. You can't know how it feels if you can just pull off the costume.
