In my younger days, I would go to therapists because of my obsessions, namely, my oneitis at the time. It led to a broader discussion of why I was a failure with women in general. It always led back to my mother and the way I was treated as a child and teenager. The ridicule, the contempt, and constantly being told that no girl would ever want me. Even when all of that was exhumed, it didn't help me approach women any better. Plus, women react immediately to your physical appearance, not something that happened to you 30 years ago.

There are plenty of men and women out there that were emasculated and put down as kids, but they still managed to find lovers. Despite my good nature, sense of humor, and other supposed virtues, I've never been desirable to any woman.

Light cannot exist without darkness. Each has its purpose.
And if there's a purpose to my darkness, maybe it's to bring some balance to the world.

Not yet.

The right medication can help with some aspects of the emotional damage, but only to a degree.

I take aripriprazole 5mg daily due to my extremely low stress tolerance and tendency to spastic out with anger. It is probably very effective in many people for impulsive aggression. It is 100% effective for me. I have not lost my anger due to my traumatic stress problems a single time since I have been on it, and it stops my severe tendency to self harm.
